👋 Introduction

Welcome to Arkham 101. This guide will cover the Dashboard feature of the Arkham platform.

Dashboards allow users to create a customized view of various on-chain data metrics, using various smaller widgets. This guide will first explain what dashboards are & why they are useful. It will then cover how to create your own dashboards.

❓ What is the Dashboard Page?

The Dashboard page allows you to create a custom view of different on-chain data metrics. It provides you with various tools & widgets which you can arrange as you like, to show the behaviour of different addresses and entities. This can be used to keep track of information such as the transactions involving a particular wallet or entity, the balance history and token holdings of various entities or wallets, as well as the recent transactions of a list of tracked entities.

Whereas each entity or addresses’ own profile page (accessible by clicking on the entity name or wallet address) will provide a pre selected series of metrics, Dashboards allow you to select the metrics you wish to see and arrange entities as you please. For example, you can build a dashboard of multiple hedge funds in one place, rather than looking at each one separately on their profile pages.

The default ‘Home’ dashboard allows you to review all of your previously created dashboards from a sidebar. It also provides you with an overview of all of your currently tracked entities & a list of transactions of these entities.

Users can quickly and easily use Arkham’s custom modules to create dashboards based upon Arkham’s database of on-chain data.

🤷 Why Use Dashboards?

Dashboards help you easily and quickly review the state of either a certain address, a certain entity, or a separate set of parameters, such as holders of a specific token. Different modules can be customized and input to create a more seamless experience. Let’s look at a few examples.

Firstly, here’s a dashboard providing information about a number of different ‘VC’ related entities in the Arkham database:

As you can see, different sized modules allow different pieces of information to be presented with different levels of importance or clarity. The entities representing individual funds can be monitored for each holding in their labeled wallets - they can also be navigated to directly from this page using each portfolio module. Simply click on the entity name to do this.

Below is another way in which dashboards can be used. This dashboard is actually a single full-sized transactions module, set up to monitor transactions in and out of the aETHc (Ankr Staked ETH) Curve pool. Setting the monitored entity to a specific address (the curve pool) and a $100K minimum sizing allows the user to see plenty of important information pertaining to large trades made in that pool:
