👋 Introduction

Welcome to Arkham 101: Alerts.

Alerts are custom notifications that you can receive by Email or Telegram to inform you of on-chain activity.

This post will explain what Alerts are & why they are useful. We will cover how to create and manage Alerts on Arkham, as well as the different configurations available to use as part of the Alerts page.

❓ What Are Alerts?

Instead of navigating around the Arkham platform in order to figure out what is happening on-chain, Arkham comes to you - either in your Email inbox, or to your Telegram messages.

Alerts allow you to receive notifications for when specific addresses send or receive tokens, as well as internal and external transactions relating to entities (groups or single wallets associated with a specific person or institution). By using Telegram, you can also collaborate and share your custom notifications with friends in custom groups, and receive direct links to the Arkham platform for important transactions.

🤷 Why Use Alerts?

Alerts are useful for tracking specific transactions that you’re interested in as they happen in real time. Let’s say that you’re looking for large transactions involving a certain on-chain fund, or group of funds. You could set an alert for the addresses, or Arkham Entity, of that fund, and limit it to only show transactions above $10M.

Here’s an example involving Symbolic Capital Partners:

You may also wish to set an alert for transactions where a specific address receives a certain number of tokens at a time, without being concerned about the price. Here’s an example involving all Lido Staking transactions of over 100 ETH:
